A standout short option for protecting from the elements, the Revo Short uses the same game-changing Gore Tex Pro fabric used for 7Mesh’s ‘uber-jacket’, the Revelation (incidentally 7Mesh was the first cycle specific brand to be given the go-ahead from Gore to use this fabric, aside from Gore themselves). Gore Tex Pro is a three layer fabric which is designed for hardcore outdoor use. The fabric is very waterproof, windproof and breathable, making the shorts suitable for extended riding in even truly awful weather. Lightweight, durable and comfortable to wear as well as reliably protecting against bad weather, the use of Gore Tex Pro really gives these shorts an edge over the competition.
Cut for riding, this trail staple is unashamedly straight talking, keeping fit, feel and function at the forefront whilst packing in plenty of features. An articulated cut provides good freedom of movement whilst the scalloped leg openings (which are longer at the front and sit over the knee when you’re riding) provide effective protection and have enough space for all-mountain knee pads, as well as preventing any annoying mid-ride ride-up. The side gusset seams make for a more comfortable saddle-short interface, and the waistband can be adjusted either with the low profile integrated waist adjusters or if you would prefer it, with a belt, using the short’s belt loops. A zippered fly, snap closure, and reflective details finish the short and a couple of front pockets sort things out on the storage front.
